Uh oh

Craftiness is great.  I've been able to trust both boys with glue and scissors for quite a long time now (at least I thought I could).  On our morning off last week (no kindy and a friend walks our big boy to school), the almost school boy happily cut and collaged in his pjs for ages...

I pottered about doing laundry and a bit of house cleaning before NanaRobyn and Grandpa arrived for the weekend.  Perhaps I shouldn't have left him with those scissors for quite so long. Hmmmmmm.

He didn't do too much damage thank goodness! There were a few large chunks missing but he hadn't done the classic crop to the scalp at the front that I've seen all too often (on other people's kids).  It gave me an excuse to give him a much needed trim around the back, so it's looking a lot tidier now.  He had it really long till he was three then he wanted it chopped off.  Since turning four he's wanted it long again like daddy, but he does not like it tied back (even though that's how B wears his hair).
