Mumbai Chapter of International Vaish Federation organised a programme to honor outstanding of Vaish Community on 14th April 2016 at Manik Sabhagrih, Bandra in presence of galaxy of local Vaish community.
There were number of dignitaries graced the occasion without any formal invite just on the basis of phone call. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy in the Government of India was one such person. he also opened his heart and supported the cause of vaish community. Shaina NC was also honored on the occasion, speaking on the occasion, she share her cosmopolitan background, her father a Parsi and mother Vohra Muslim and married to a Jain thus bahu of Vaish family !Dr Harsh Vardhan, minister at Ministry of Science and Technology (India) and Ministry of Earth Sciences was guest of honor. He shared his deep philosophical thoughts, said that one has to dream and to see that he works hard to make dream a reality. In this process one can meet failure also in that case dream another dream. He follows the same path, with the result he made a big mark in eradication of Polio.
Alka Ruia was also one of the awardee, she has done some landmark work in changing economy of rural areas of Rajasthan, it is basically about charging arid land with water by simple methods.
Madhu Sudan Agarwal of Ajanta Pharma was guest of honor, Government of Uganda has recenty appointed him as Counselor in Mumbai..He also enthuse the audience with his inspiring speech.
Another proud member of Vaish community in Maharashtra present on the occasion was Deepak Kesarkar who is presently state minister of finance and planning. He came to Mumbai to attend this programme and immediately flew back to Goa..
Shri Babu Ram Gupta National General Secretary of International Vaish Federation commended efforts made by Mumbai Chapter to bring different sub communities under one umbrella.
Rakesh Mehta played the role of Swagat Adhaksha, he also detailed out the programme to encourage young people of community to crack IAS and other civil services exams.
