the family dinner and games

We had two extra boys sleep over recently.  I can't actually remember what dinner was but the dessert was something special.  We made coconut dairy free ice cream and let the kids go crazy with the toppings.  We had peaches, marshmallows, mini waffle cones, chocolate chips and sprinkles.

Oh yes, we had little umbrellas too.

At the end of last year I blogged about a library book I had called "The Family Dinner".  I loved it so much that B bought if for me for Christmas.  It's part recipe book, part dinner ideas book.

We've been trying out some of the games and conversation ideas.  It was quite handy with all the rowdy boys at the end of dinner.  We played I have never...

One person starts with a statement that's true for them "I have never been to Christchurch".  If you have been to Christchurch then you have to raise a finger.  Once you have five fingers up you're out.   It may also be a drinking game but we didn't get into that ;)  It was a really nice way to get to know the boys' friends a little better too.
