In July our oldest reached the double digits. We decorated the table with wrapped pressies for him to open in the morning and strung up the bunting that we'd be taking to the party place later in the day. We still use our
play cloths for wrapping things, they're so versatile!
We were so lucky to have this wee darling staying with us from Christchurch (along with his parents, my sister and husband). As ten is quite a milestone we had a bigger than usual party at a laser tag place and it was fantastic. I can see why people do these kind of parties all the time!

We took lots of water, gummy bears, chips, pretzels and cheerios to eat. The laser tag was so much fun! Maybe I need to do a laser tag party for my 40th next year.
The cake was a simple chocolate cake with green coloured coconut and chocolate finger biscuits (which we removed for R). The plastic toys on top were quite an inspired idea. I'm really not that into birthday cake making to be honest, so I was pretty happy with how easy it was.
